Catholic Schools Day
On Tuesday we were excited to see two other Catholic schools come to St Patrick's for the day. We were celebrating Catholic School Day. Then we went to mass to sing our new songs. After we finished mass we went back to Class and then the bell went. Then St Pius X and St Ignatius schools went under the canopy. Then we went to get our lunch boxes and I went to get the skipping rope to play. It was raining so much. There was a boy from St Pius School who knows my name. My mum came to mass and to see me. It was a great day.

Tika, Pono, Aroha
We have been learning about how Jesus respected the tapu (sacredness) of people. One day Jesus saw a woman getting water from a well. He asked her for some water but he wasn't meant to talk to her because she was a Samaritan. He showed Aroha which is love, and also Tika which is being true and Pono which is doing the right thing.
I show Aroha when I respect the teachers by listening and doing school work and by behaving well in the classroom.
When I tell the truth even if I will get told off, I show Pono. If I break something by accident I will not lie to my mom about it when she asks me.

Kindness
In the class Room we watched Oat the Goat. The first part was the goat trying to go to the top of the mountain but the goat heard the mean sheep laughing at Amos. Kindness means you share the ball to some one and say nice things.
